AIR SQUARE

The entrance to the Municipal Museum and the municipality’s main church had an insufficient sidewalk and a one-way road that caused traffic problems when religious events in the church or logistical events in the museum took place. The proposal is to move the road away from the façades and to generate a sober square adjacent to them, pedestrianising this space to improve the use linked to both buildings without affecting normal traffic. Moreover, parking spaces, previously insufficient in the area, have been generated and integrated into the square. Finally, the pavement materiality and the chosen urban furniture are intended to inject a renewed air into the surroundings while, at the same time, showing great respect for these two historic and iconic buildings of the city.
